What light works best when growing vegetables?

I am using cfl’s. Do I go with 6500k which is more of the blue spectrum, or 2700k which is more of the red spectrum.

    Save your money unless you are thinking of growing onions to show at horticultural shows.As these plants need along growing season they are sown at Christmas in the UK,,and once germinated the light is extended to 14 hours a day ,at a temp of no more than 55f.I grow veg on a 350sq yd plot and all my seeds are germinated on window ledges in the house ,as soon as they have germinated Iput them in an un heated green house,just to keep the rain off,and protect from cold winds if a frost is fore cast i cover the seedlings with horticultural fleece
