When is the best time to prune roses?
I live in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas and my two cedar elm trees look full but I did not want to try to prune them unless I knew it was a good time and until I knew how. I believe they are about 4-5 yrs old. Thanks
I would like to know what is the best height how many meters before I trim the top of my olive tree
I have some white lilac bushes that are about 7 feet tall, rather shabby looking and grow toward the sun. I’d like to prune them down to about 4-5 feet tall and allow them to grow “bushier” as opposed to taller. And since they sit directly in about 8-10 hours of unfettered sunlight, I don’t understand why they seems to grow toward the morning sun light. Any suggestions on how to prune them and a reason why they grow toward morning light would be greatly appreciated.
When the fuzzy flower dies the bulb closes up. Sometimes new bulbs emerge between the dead closed ones. Do I pluck the old bulbs out or cut the whole stock down to the bottom of the plant.

My grandmother knows *when* to prune azaleas, but she was wondering about the best methods of *how* to prune her azaleas. Any suggestions?
We purchased a young purple leaf plum tree from a garden center and planted it early last Fall. It’s about 12′ tall. It seems to have more branches on one side of it than the other so it bends to one side. We did stake the bottom but the top is so tall it bends with the wind. I’d like to know if I can prune it so that it’s more symmetrical, how and where to cut it and when?(The flowers are done and the leaves are growing out)
