I would like them to be seen from the street which is about 100 feet away from the house. The rhododendrons there now would be perfect, but they aren’t doing well for some reason. The azaleas on the other end of the same side with identical soil and light are doing just fine. It may be a disease.
Thanks!

We would like to raise them in the back yard (in well constructed secure cages when not being supervised.) The adoption places seem to all expect that we raise them indoors. I would rather not lie to them.
Thanks natie! (My local Petco doesn’t carry rabbits.)
I have a fence, but they get in anyway.
Im looking for a book or two that go into grave detail about Vegetable Plants, Flowers, and Herbs.
Im not to worried if each category has its on book.
What I am looking for is a book that describes how to start each plant from seed or bulb, how much water each needs, Fertilizers to use if any, Humidity, Temperature, Pests and Diseases, pH level in the Soil required, How long it takes to germinate, how long till full maturity, etc…
I want detailed information about each Plant, each flower, each herb.
I have Vegetable Gardening for Dummies. If you can Point me to some books I will be grateful.
I’ve searched all over the web and nothing has answered my question. I just moved into a new house where the previous owners had a partly landscaped backyard. I’m trying to tend to it.
The symptoms of the tree are:
White/gray spots on top of leaves all over the place on all the leaves, under leaves are black spots with the grayish white spots
The tops of the leaves turn burgundy while the underside remains green
Tips of leaves are browning and blackening and slightly curling
Trunk has light green moss on it, with a large incision near the base about 3 feet long, it is black and I’m assuming it was a branch or something that had to be cut off. There is a similar mark on another maple tree in the yard a few feet away.
I’m not sure what sort of Maple it is, but I believe it to be a sugar maple. I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I have a pear tree, some pine trees, and a different sort of maple tree a few feet away from this ‘sick tree’ and if it is a disease I don’t want my other trees catching it.
I’ve included pictures of both sides of the leaves, the trunk, then the entire tree. I also included a photo of the Pear tree and the other maple tree.
It can’t just be ‘fall turning’ because of the spots and all that that I have described, not to mention the bottom of the leaves are GREEN while the tops of them are turning burgundy.
Here is an album of the photos on photobucket.

Thanks to anyone who tries to help me, I am new to garden care, my roses have Black Spot and my lawn is browning, I feel like a terrible land keeper lol.

My mother thought that is was animal regurgitation, but I think it is come kind of plant fungus or plant disease. I have never seen it before nor do I know who to contact. It popped up in my mother’s garden and it has been raining alot lately. It’s pink and looks spongy. It looks like there are veins but not really. It’s growing in the mulch but there is a little bit attacking one of the plants.
This is the link to see what it looks like:

Im starting a vegetable garden in huge pots.Im a bit weary about putting harmful pesticides on my veggies and wondered if there was a way I could use something safe to spray on my veggies–like warm vinegar. Something safe. FYI: I am growing Broccoli, Cucumbers,Romaine lettuce,Spinach and Spearmint. I just planted the seeds yesterday. OH!! And what is Sod? How is this different from top soil? Is it a fertilizer?
Im not sure if I planted this stuff the right way, but I just got top soil, put the seeds in the dirt, watered it and gave it moderate sunlight. I brought my veggies in cause I figured it is too cool to leave out at night.
Thanks!
with no signs of the disease. I know it’s not gone, and I’ll need to spray but my question is, do I spray before I see the spots or after. Meaning should I spray now and hope to prevent the onset or will the spraying only help after it’s begun?

marigolds but they keep coming back and more this year because of them mating. any tips on how to keep them away and eating the plants?
The plant seemed healthy enough, though not flowering yet because of a late garden start this year. Suddenly (this morning) I noticed the stem, where it joined the earth, had turned brown. A closer inspection showed it to be rotted through! The rest of the plant still “looks” alive, but I know it will die now that it has no root system.
Was this a disease, fungus, or some sort of caterpillar at work? Are the rest of my plants at risk (more crookneck, as well as tomatoes and cantaloupe)? Is there any way to fight this?
All help is really appreciated!
