I am looking for some creative help. We are having a fall themed wedding in September ’07 at our home. We have a beautiful pond that will be a backdrop to our ceremony and reception. I would like to put in the pond some floating lanterns (preferebly using candles in them) to let the water sparkle after dark. Unfortunately, we are on a very strict budget, so I was planning on just making them. Would anyone have any creative ideas or know of any websites that could explain or give tips of how to make them?

Im wanting to install a garden pond in my yard..but was wanting some advice from someone who has done this before!!!!
I’m building a waterfall that empties into a pond (that’s where the pump and skimmer are.) Some people say that I need to cover the EPDM with rocks – but the sides of the pond are steep, even with the ledges that I dug into them.
Is it okay just to put rocks around the perimeter of the EPDM? Will the EPDM get damaged otherwise?
What other materials besides rocks can I use?
I have about a 350 gallon pond with a waterfall. The pond is lined.
What plants can be used with a lined pond given there is no soil at bottom to plant anything in?
I want to create a natural pond in my garden but I want it to be as natural as possible is there any way of making one without the plastic lining underneath?
We have two ponds in our garden, they are not very big maybe 200 gallons, like a huge bathtub. They have plants and fish in them but they are always so dirty, how to keep them clean without using any harsh chemicals that would harm the fish and plants?
Does anyone know where on the web I can find how to install a garden pond in a wooden framed box instead of digging a hole in the ground? I once saw how to do it on a TV show, but that was a few years ago and wasn’t in the market for a pond at the time.
Peter, did I ask what makes a great pond?
My grandmother has a hand built garden pond in her yard with several fish in it. It has turned green over time, I was wondering to make it easier on her if there were any way to make the water at least look cleaner without having to drain all the water? Thanks for your help!
All the water from my garden pond has gone, it is now quarter-full with a green-black, thick mud. What is the best way to get rid of this, so i can either remove my pond, or refill it with water?
Thanks
My KOI carp has jumped out of our garden pond on Sunday after reviving it, it seems to be injured and lathargic. Is there anything we can do to help it or are we being cruel?
