Very easy to grow.
Closely related to turnips but the flesh is yellow and is milder and
sweeter. Plants are hardier, yields are greater and the growing
period is longer. Keep and eye on weeds and water well in dry
spells. Harvest as soon as the roots are large enough to use or
leave them in the soil until spring and lift as needed. If storing
(from December) twist off the leaves, place between layers of dry
sand and keep in a dry shed. |
